Romanian Payments Summit 2019 - organized by the National Bank of Romania

The National Bank of Romania (BNR) organized the "Romanian Payments Summit 2019" (Forumul Anual al Platilor 2019), an event that will hopefully become a recurring meeting platform between the Regulatory Authority and all participants - traditional or emerging - to the financial markets infrastructure and the payment system:

- “Technological innovation and new players in the payments market in the context of European regulations” - panel moderated by Ruxandra Avram of BNR

- “The financial ecosystem - beneficiary of technological innovation” - moderated by Raluca Micu of BNR

- “New technologies - trends, innovative technical solutions, new business models” - panel moderated by Ioana Guiman of Allevo

- "Fintech - partner or competitor in the current context of payments?" - moderated by Ciprian Păltineanu of I H C

I H C was honored to host in the last panel Daniel Nicolescu, Dan Alexandru Cobeanu, Mike Mihai Dragan, Cosmin Curticapean and Cosmin Cosma, some of the pioneers of the #FinTech sector in #Romania, to discuss the new trends in the payment ecosystem, the role FinTech companies in promoting innovation, collaborating with regulators as well as the expectations of the business environment for the upcoming FinTech Innovation Hub.

With 10% of Romanian 🇷🇴 #FinTechs on the stage (we're still a small ecosystem... check the recently published #FintechMap - https://lnkd.in/enS8Sq2) and another 40% in the audience, among most local banks & IT providers, at this historical event organized by National Bank of Romania: the first ever “channel-agnostic” dialogue under the helm of the Regulatory Authority.

In a very engaging and informational discussion, the panel voiced - inter alia - the expectations of the local FinTechs for the recently launched #InnovationHub:
